Caring for stainless steel kitchen surfaces
Practical cleaning and care guidance for stainless steel work tables, sinks and shelving.
Clean regularly and gently
Remove food residue, wash using a suitable mild detergent and a soft cloth, then rinse and dry. Follow the equipment manufacturer’s cleaning instructions. Wipe with the grain where visible and avoid abrasive tools that scratch the surface.
Avoid corrosive cleaning practices
Do not use ordinary steel wool on stainless steel. Avoid prolonged contact with salt residues or unsuitable chlorine-based cleaners; use only products compatible with the surface and follow their label instructions. Never mix cleaning chemicals.
Inspect and report problems
Check joints, supports, drainage and damaged edges during routine cleaning. Persistent corrosion or loose fittings need assessment. Share clear photographs and the equipment details with the service team before attempting repairs.
